The Conservatorium of Amsterdam (CvA) is the largest and most versatile conservatory in the Netherlands. With a population of approximately one thousand students and an excellent teaching staff situated in the heart of Amsterdam, the CvA takes full advantage of the rich Amsterdam music climate and is able to train students to become musicians of the highest level.

The CvA offers a wide repertoire of specialisations in classical music, jazz, early music, opera, pop music and music teaching. The many special projects guarantee a strong relationship between theory and practice during the study. In both the bachelor’s and master’s programs there is a lot of room for individual choices and students are given ample opportunity to explore new paths.

The Conservatorium of Amsterdam is the “Music” faculty of the Amsterdam School of the Arts.
