Stimulating new attitudes to music from the past… Every year BREMF programmes around specific themes designed to stimulate new attitudes to approaching and presenting music from the past. In 2016 Science and Nature connects the ideas that formed in human brains with the natural world in which those brains evolved. We will meet great visionary, music-loving scientists such as Galileo and Kircher, explore the development of instrument making and experience the deep effect of ‘nature’ upon the minds of composers.
