Brighton Early Music Festival 2016

Het wereldberoemde, jaarlijkse Early Music Festival in Brighton / BREMF gaat eind oktober van start met 26 concerten in oktober en november en brengt muziek van de laatste 1000 jaar, uit alle windstreken en in alle variaties. Het festivalthema is dit jaar Nature & Science. Dame Emma Kirkby is patron sinds begin van het festival in 2003. Kaartverkoop start op 5 september.

Brighton Early Music, known as BREMF, is a world leader in pioneering dynamic events which make music from the last 1000 years and from many parts of the world, relevant and exciting to modern audiences of all ages

Festival tickets go on sale to Festival Friends on Monday 22nd August and to the general public on Monday 5th September.

Stimulating new attitudes to music from the past…
Every year BREMF programmes around specific themes designed to stimulate new attitudes to approaching and presenting music from the past.

In 2016 Science and Nature connects the ideas that formed in human brains with the natural world in which those brains evolved. We will meet great visionary, music-loving scientists such as Galileo and Kircher, explore the development of instrument making and experience the deep effect of ‘nature’ upon the minds of composers.
