Dimitry Tsypkin – cello Dimitry Tsypkin - cellist, links en Sergey Smirnov - pianist, rechts Dimitry Tsypkin – cello Cellist Dima Tsypkin, born in Minsk, Belarus, studied at the Belaurisan State Academy of Music in Minsk with Prof. Yevgeniy Feshchenko. In 2004, Mr. Tsypkin came to France to continue his studies with Marc Coppey at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris. In the due time, Dima Tsypkin participated in masterclasses with Anner Bylsma, Alain Meunier, Lev Evgrafov, Jérôme Pernod, Yovan Markovitch, Vladimir Perlin, and Patrick Cohen. Dima Tsypkin is an artist of extraordinary creative capacity. In his ongoing recitals and chamber performances, Mr. Tsypkin presents a wide and constantly renewing repertoire which encapsulates music, from the baroque to the modernity. Dima’s repertoire includes cello concertos by Haydn, Dvorak, Schumann, Voegelin which he has performed with chamber and symphony orchestras. Dima Tsypkin has toured and gained appraisals in Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Finland, and Great Britain. Dima Tsypkin is an expirienced orchestra musician. He has worked under the direction of Zubin Metha, Placido Domingo, and Lorin Mazel and he is a prize winner at multiple international cello and chamber music competitions: 1st prize and Special Award at the International Competition in Chisinau, Moldova (2001) 1st prize and Special Award the 3rd International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition, Gdansk, Poland (2003) 3rd prize at the Zinetti chamber music competition, Italy (2003) 1st prize at the 9th International Contemporary Chamber Music Competition, Cracow, Poland (2005) Dimitry performs in the Geelvinck Salon , together with pianist Sergey Smirnov, on 31 March 2013
