Mariam Chincharauli – (forte)piano Mariam Chincharauli is a Georgian pianist and fortepianist based in Amsterdam. She started her first musical steps from early ages in Georgia. Mariam finished V. Sarajishvili State Conservatoire with master degree in keyboard instruments, modern piano. Afterwards she studied postgraduate PhD at V. Sarajishvili State Conservatoire with chamber music specialization. Mariam participated in piano competitions with success. She played in masterclasses with Vladimir Feltsman, collaborated with Georgian Philarmonic Orchestra and Georgian Sinfonietta. Also Mariam performed solo recitals and participated in chamber music festivals. Before moving to Amsterdam Mariam worked as docent and correpetitor at V. Sarajishvili State Conservatoire. During these years focus of her interest turned to the historical interpretation on periodic instruments. Mariam playes all historical keyboard instruments and has wide range of repertoire from baroque to classic, from romantic to modern music. Her playing is characterized as very poetic and charming, with passion and fire. Mariam Chincharauli performs throughout Europe as a soloist and chamber musician. In 2023 Mariam started her second master studies at Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Early music department, pianoforte with Olga Pashchenko, basso continuo with Kris Verhelst. Mariam played recitals in Netherlands in 2023-2024 on historic and modern pianos, with various and interesting repertoire. In Italy, 2024 Mariam played “Romantic music evening” programm on historic original instrument Playel 1849. Mariam has taken part in many different courses and workshops for pianoforte with Costantino Mastroprimiano and Luca Montebugnoli. She participated in masterclasses in Paris on Erard 1806 in 2024, where she played on a concert. In June 2024 Mariam collaborated with Holland Festival in a new concert project of composer Georg Friedrich Haas “11.000 Saiten”. In July she participated in masterclasses in Paris on Erard 1806 in 2024, where she played on a concert. Afterwards she took part in Johannes Leertouwer project and recorded Beethoven sonatas for violin and piano on Viennese fortepiano Walter. In July 2024 Mariam got Talent Award from Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In september 2024 she participated in radio Concertzender with her own project “Tribute to Schumann”. In 2024 october Mariam participated and played concert in Historically Informed Performance academy in Cremona. In November Mariam played with Sweelinck Baroque Orchestra Mozart piano concert.In December 2024 Mariam played concert “Lyrical melodies” in festival Winteravonden Aan De Amstel. In January 2025 she played “German musical poetry” concert in Zaaandam on Viennese fortepiano 1826. In February 2025 Mariam played “ Aesthetics of the French romantic music” concert in France, La National Museum-castle Château de Malmaison on square fortepiano Erard 1806. Mariam is a laureate of La Nouvelle Athènes Centre des Pianos Romantiques. In march Mariam participates in a project “Schubert and his piano compositions”. In April Mariam plays in a festival “Feminale 2025” in Hamburg.
