Dúo Sereno: hoboïsten José Luis Urquieta & Leonardo Cuevas

Duo Sereno is made up of two of the most prominent Latin American oboists, the Chileans José Luis Urquieta and Leonardo Cuevas.The group was created with the sole aim of fostering the creation of new music for this particular consort. Together, they have built a strong reputation among performers and composers as a virtuoso ensemble able to execute the most complex, beautiful, and expressive music. Duo Sereno has toured Asia, Latin America, Europe and Oceania, showing audiences worldwide the brilliance of Latin American contemporary music.For this recital, Duo Sereno will present an extravagant selection of pieces written specifically for them by Chilean living composers whose inspiration comes from extremely divergent sources ranging from recent political events to indigenous music. Expect to be surprised and taken aback by these two fantastic players!Would you like a sneak peek?
