Göran Grahn – orgel, fortepiano, clavecimbel

Göran Grahn (Sweden) has played the organ for 40 years and has studied with Ivar Rendahl, Rune Engsö and Montserrat Torrent. He has also studied harpsichord with Inger Grudin and Leif Grave-Müller. He has been organist in various churches around Stockholm and also active in early music as continuo player. Since 1980 he is curator at Stiftelsen Musikkulturens Främjande (Nydahl Collection) in Stockholm, and since 1990 organ consultant, specialized in organ restoration, in Sweden and the Baltic States. He is also Secretary of the International Society of Organ Builders.

 

Geelvinck Fortepiano Festival 2014:

Göran Grahn participates at the Geelvinck Fortepiano Festival 2014, in a Swedish – Dutch Chamber music recital, dedicated to 400 year Swedish – Dutch relations,

– on 11 October in the Salon of Kasteel Keukenhof, 20.15 h.

– on 12 October  with an organ recital in the Grote Kerk in Beverwijk on the Geelvinck organ, 13.30 h.

– on 12 October in the Geelvinck Salon, 16.45 h.

– on 13 October: speaker at the discussion forum ‘The Future of  … Historic Fortepiano Collections’ at Museum Geelvinck, 20.00 h.
