BBC nomineert Debussy CD: stemmen!

Stem op de nieuwe Debussy CD van Alexander Melnikov en Olga Pashchenko, genomineerd voor de BBC Music Magazine Awards 2019!

Componisten op instrumenten uit hun tijd

Deze twee jonge Russische pianisten zijn op weg wereldsterren te worden en hebben grote indruk gemaakt op het festival Winteravonden aan de Amstel 2017  in de Hermitage in Amsterdam. Beiden zijn groot voorstander van het bespelen van historische instrumenten, uit de tijd van de componist, zoals in dit geval een Erard fortepiano vleugel uit 1885.
Olga Pashchenko kunt u op 18 mei in Zutphen beluisteren in het avondconcert van de KLAVIERENDAG, waar zij de dan net gerestaureerde Conrad Graf 1836 voor het eerst zal bespelen.

The nominations for the 2019 BBC Music Magazine Awards have now been revealed, with 21 of the best classical recordings from over the past year chosen by an expert jury.
The discs were selected from the 200 recordings awarded five stars by the critics in the last 12 months. Voting is now open to the public, so you can choose your favourite recordings from seven categories: Orchestral, Instrumental, Chamber, Choral, Vocal, Opera and Concerto.

There were a huge number of Debussy recordings released in 2018 in celebration of the composer’s centenary, and the best of these are reflected in this year’s Awards shortlist. In the Instrumental category, Alexander Melnikov and Olga Pashchenko are nominated with their recording of Book 2 of Debussy’s Préludes and the much-loved La Mer, performed on the original Erard 1885.
