Mako Kodama – piano Mako Kodama is a Japanese pianist and fortepianist based in The Hague. Known for her expressive artistry and dynamic stage presence, she performs a wide repertoire on both modern piano and historical fortepiano. She has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician across The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, and Japan, with highlights including concerts at the Mendelssohn House, Grassi Museum, and the Utrecht Early Music Festival. In 2025, her first CD as Duo Flânerie (with violinist Saaya Ikenoya) will be released under Da Vinci Publishing. Born in Gifu, Japan, Mako studied in Nagoya, Dresden, and Leipzig, and is currently continuing her fortepiano studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. She is a recipient of scholarships from Rotary International District 2630 and the Adriana Jacoba Fund Awards.
